When a sinister threat from his childhood returns to haunt him, a father desperately fights his deepest inner fear. Only this time the battle isn’t for himself; it’s for his family. This is the first PG-13 horror film to feature the "Lionsgate Red Gears" logo from Satanic Possession (2012). Patrick McKee: Ever since we got back, I’ve had these white knuckles about Jake being kidnapped. There’s a supernatural entity that steals children and stuffs them in its bag. After a financial crisis, Patrick McKee (Sam Claflin) has to go back to work at the family lumberyard. His wife, Karina (Antonia Thomas), is supportive but concerned. He senses that someone is in the woods, stalking their son Jake. There are some interesting ideas here. The villain is pretty scary, especially from a child’s perspective. There are also a lot of nits to pick. I mean, they’re in the lumber business. They could put a fence around the house. If they know someone’s been on the roof outside their nursery, they should probably close that window. In fact, they should lock all the windows and doors. I like this horror villain, but I don’t think he’s going to gain much traction.
