After a traumatic incident during residency, young medical student James Heyman (Namir Smallwood) is transferred to a rural hospital to start over. Dr. Harrison (actor and actor Michael Potts) suggests that James is having difficulties and it is difficult for him to communicate with patients. The demons of James’ past begin to catch up with him when he encounters a young asthmatic (Sidney Flannigan, NEVER RARELY SOMETIMES) with mysterious symptoms. His grip on reality begins to loosen as his disturbing nightmares, anxiety-fueled assumptions, and physical trauma collide with the harsh reality of the medical world. Director Alex Thompson assembles a strong cast of seasoned character actors to follow up on St. Francis and its predecessor GHOST WORLD in this humanistic and unconventional genre version.
